Nope. You can create and share lists without signing up. Just visit the site, start typing, and your list is live with a shareable URL. Creating an account (just your email — no password) lets you save your lists and access them from any device.
Every time you paste a recipe URL and we use AI to pull out the ingredients, that's one extraction. Manually typing items, cloning templates, and sharing lists don't count toward this limit. Free users get 3 per month — enough for most casual cooks.
Yes. Cancel with one click, no questions asked. If you're on an annual plan, you keep access through the end of your billing period. All your lists stay — you just lose access to Pro/Family features.
Everything stays. Your lists, items, shared links — all intact. You just can't use AI extraction beyond 3/month, photo scanning, or smart merge. Existing merged lists stay as they are.
Invite up to 5 household members by phone number or email. Everyone gets their own account with full Pro features, plus shared lists that sync in real time. You'll see who's at the store, who added what, and you'll never double-buy milk again.
Over time, lists.shopping learns what your household buys regularly. It'll flag items on your list you bought recently ("You got olive oil 4 days ago") and suggest staples you might be running low on. Family plan only for now.
No, and that's by design. lists.shopping is a web app — you use it in your browser, no download required. Add it to your home screen for an app-like experience. The whole point is zero friction: text someone a link and they can see and edit the list in 2 seconds.
